| Pennington. Helen Elizabeth Powers. Longtime resident of Mpls for over 50 years, died on March 11, 1992. She was preceded in death by her
husband, John Lancaster Pennington, grandson of former Soo Line Railroad President & prominent Minneapolitan Edmund Pennington. Mrs. Pennington is
survived by 4 daughters, Penny Pennington of Vancouver, WA, Patricia Carol Idstrom of Morehead City, NC, Virginia Elizabeth Pennington of Washington. DC
& Helen Sue Krook of Mpls; one son, Jack Pennington of Atlanta; 2 sisters. Penny Powers Olsen & Irene Powers Carpenter; sister-in law, Kay Powers;
stepmother, Hilda Powers of Stevens Point, WI; 12 grandchildren & 4 great grandchildren. She was active in many community activities in Mpls
throughout the years, including membership in several groups at St. Mark's Cathedral & U of M fraternal organizations. A memorial service for Helen
Pennington is scheduled for Wednesday, March 19 at 1 pm at St. Mark's Cathedral on Oak Grove In Mpls. Memorials In her name may be made to the U of M
Landscape Arboretum.
