1997 Academy Award Nominations

Here's the complete list. No thoughts on the noms, really-- the spread
seems fair and surprisingly level-headed. (Lest we fail to be thankful
for small favors, the TITANIC screenplay was not recognized.) I mean,
can you *really* complain a Best Picture line-up that includes corrupt
cops, tough-talking shrinks, cranky obsessive-compulsives, full-frontal
male nudity (or, at least, the promise of same), and an entire movie
devoted to the sinking of a big, damn ship? We may never have this good
again...

First, the numbers. Those films with multiple nominations:

 14 - TITANIC
  9 - GOOD WILL HUNTING
  9 - L.A. CONFIDENTIAL
7 - AS GOOD AS IT GETS
