The Wedding Singer (1998)

THE WEDDING SINGER has one good laugh, somewhere in the middle of
the movie, when Jon Lovitz appears out of nowhere to sing "Ladies
Night" in full lounge-lizard mode. (He notes "that ain't no sock
in my crotch.") With the possible exception of the soundtrack,
featuring a few dozen mid-eighties oldies, the rest of this shoddy,
straight-played Adam Sandler-starrer is best left standing at the
alter. Ugh. With Drew Barrymore, Christine Taylor, Allen Covert,
Matthew Glave, Angela Featherstone, and Alexis Arquette. Frank
Coraci (who?) directs. (Rated "PG-13"/95 min.)
