RALEIGH - Yard waste fire at 900 N. New Hope Road, at the Raleigh Yard Waste Center. Engine 12 first on scene with a large yard waste pile approximately 40% involved. Additional engines and mutual aid tankers requested. Water shuttle operated until alternate water supply located at adajacent business. Reserve aerial apparatus brought by Engine 21 personnel. Heavy equipment utilized to spread burning material. Alarm time 1:10 p.m. Command terminated 7:59 p.m. Photos taken about 5:00 p.m. Units on scene included E12, E21, E11, E7, R19, B2, C5, C3, C2, New Hope E1, T9, T11, C3, EMS 13, EMS 16, EMS D1, EMS T1, plus tankers from Wendell, Rolesville, Eastern Wake, Garner, and Archers Lodge.
