RALEIGH - Rescue 1 getting equipped at Services on Monday, February 4. Preparing to be placed
in service as a five-person heavy rescue company on February 5. Also, squads getting outfitted at Services.
Photographed on February 2. Two 2004 American LaFrance pumpers will be placed in service as rescue engines on February 5. They'll function as both engine companies and rescue companies,
as part of a reorganization of technical rescue resources in the Raleigh Fire Department. Also pictured
are a pair of former rescue units, old Rescue 2 (a 2002 International/SVI) and old reserve rescue (2000 Freightliner/American LaFrance).
