Lee has posted photos of Archer Lodge's new Engine 2, a 2008 Ferrara Inferno rescue pumper, 1500/750/30. Don't see many made by Ferrara around here. Bahama has one in Durham County. From the Ferrara web site, it looks like custom pumpers have been recently delivered to E.M. Holt, Efland, Elroy, Queheel, Tobermory, Valmead, and Wilson's Mills fire departments. What makes a Contender a p.o.s.? Are they breaking down? If so, is it because of the way they are driven, cared for, and maintained? Are they a p.o.s. because of the way they are spec’d? Or are they a p.o.s. because everybody else says they are?

A lot of the problems are with the way they are built. Not your normal Pierce Fire Apparatus. All in all a good truck though, just a few problems here and there
