Is this 0800-1700 monday – friday.. Do you get payed
Tyler Smith - 02/09/10 - 10:59

yes it’s just like a normal municipal fire academy, and you get paid if your department is paying for you to go, otherwise you’re on your own dime.
CFP 7021 - 02/09/10 - 12:26

The Academy runs 0800 – 1700 daily and could be longer if the objectives for the day are not covered. The pay part, CFP 7021 is correct if you are not being sent by a paid department you are doing it for free. You also have to pay for the materials needed in the academy. Things like uniforms, Essential book, EMT books, and any other material the instructor wants you to have.
