08/19/10 82 W - + 6 - 8 A Guy And His Truck

Statter911 found this compelling early arrival video a couple days ago. It depicts the simple human drama of a person reacting to fire impacting a prized possession. Beware strong language, if you are of sensitive ears. The YouTube clip was shot in downtown Windsor. Click the link in the comments, and there's an aftermath video as well. And the local connection? Mr. Blogger visited that city this summer, while touring Detroit. Easy on the Ford jokes.

If you wondered what happened to John Edwards after Elizabeth dumped him… evidently he is now an engineer with the Windsor Fire Department! Somebody needs to tell him that he should wear his safety vest when operating in the roadway…

Classic! The fat feet and floppy arms kill me!

For eastern NC folks, Windsor means Windsor, NC! Bertie County. They have a fine fire department, too.

Question for responders. How typical or atypical is this guy’s level of agitation, compared to what you all have observed and encountered in comparable situations?
Legeros - 08/21/10 - 09:22

I’d say he’s acting typical; especially when it’s his truck that’s burning!!! It always seems like an eternity until help arrives no matter what the situation.
