Nice pic. Close call

With Mo’ville so close to the airport why are they not apart of alarm one calls? I think they come on alarm two and higher. Anyone know?

MFD is dispatched if the run calls for them and where on airport grounds the call is. On fire alarms and Aircraft alarms, Raleigh Fire has the call with E-24, L-6, E-23. If L-6 is out, MFD L-2 comes before RFD L-3 and so forth. It really all depends on the nature and location. The only constant is the first alarm assignment with RFD units goes to CFR, the rest head to staging.

Its the same question as to why RFD Battalion 3 gets called to Fire Alarms at the terminals, when Battalion 4 is miles closer. The CAD sees the address and sends Bn-3 up I-40 to RDU or some odd thing. Never made sense to me the entire time I was in the mix…and that my friend was a long time ago and lasted a long time.

Maybe Mr. Legeros here can get the current RDU CFR run card and post it for blogging sake?

Also MFD is on the opposite side of the airport from where CFR is and the stagging zone for alarms is, DHFD actually is closer than MFD to this area hence why when E-23 or E-24 is out a DHFD pumper fills the gap.

Let me see if I can a copy of the RDU run card. My copy is some years old, http://legeros.com/scanner/scanner-cfr.s..

On this photo you have RDU CFR-2, RDU CFR-1, RDU OPS and the jet is a 135 out of NY
