03/19/11 59 W, 1 I - + 3 - 7 Weather Stations in Fire Stations

A reader shares this photo of a weather station in the Wyse Fork Fire Department in Jones County outside Kinston. What sort of weather monitoring equipment do you have? Heck, send pictures of your "base station." And for extra credit, can you identify the other equipment shown here? Click to enlarge:

The two boxes under the Motorola radios appear to be power supplies.

With Kermit, the power supplies convert mobiles into bases. I do like that rotary phone on the wall. Some sort of weather radio thing in the middle with a 2.5×1.5 adapter….

Hey DJ- What’s up with Apex EMS? You guys going to be county employees now? What happened?
Spanky - 03/20/11 - 20:16

@ Spanky- send me your email address and I will fill you in.

Motorola MaxTrac300 with base plate and Astron RS-20A power supply on left, Motorola CM-series mobile with base plate and unidentified (but likely old Astron) power supply on the right. Both with desk mics. Davis Vantage series weather monitor station (unsure of model).
