07/02/11 71 W, 1 I - + 1 - 2 Pink Engine From Pink Hill

Saw this sun-bleached beauty today outside Wallace, N.C. Specific location is Highway 41, maybe a mile east of I-40. What the heck was Blog Boy doing in that neck of the woods? Poking around Pender County, and the wildfire areas therein. That is, the approximate wildfire areas. Didn't get remotely close to any action. Smelled quite a bit of it, though. There is another old GMC located outside of Hampstead on NC210. It is on the right as you head back to I-40. It looks to be late 40s early 50s. It is white with a good coating of rust. It has been there at least nine years.

Saw that one as well. It’s sitting with a mess of construction equipment on the left side of the road. Or, the right side of the road, if you’re traveling the other way. Has an orange beacon.
