On Friday, September 9th, 2011, North Carolina Governor Bev Perdue will hold a Proclamation signing for the September 11th Day of Service and Remembrance and First Responders Appreciation Week at 14:00 hours at the [North Carolina] Fallen Firefighters Memorial at Historic Nash Square in downtown Raleigh. For the tenth anniversary of 9/11, Governor Perdue is honoring first responders and encouraging all citizens to show appreciation to these brave men and women. First Responders are invited to the ceremony to join in kicking off the initiative.
