07/20/12 114 W, 5 I - + 6 - 1 Scenes From The Show Floor

Here's some of the colorful apparatus seen on the show floor at the Baltimore Fire Expo this week. They're all rescue or medical rigs, as it happens. Plus one other "colorful" photo. Not sure what to make of that guy. Doesn't have enough grey hair to be a 'geezer. Must be a squatter. Looks like the convention center has a pest problem. At least you can spot that joker guy coming a mile off.

mike i dont think At least you can spot that joker coming a mile off…is a wise choice of words after that shooting.where the guy said he was joker

Good point. It will be interesting to see how usage and perception of that word is affected, as time passes.

Rescue Squad 741 (Bethesda-Chevy Chase) is a massive truck. I really am not sure how they plan on getting it down some of those streets, though the operator did a good job the one time I rode on it.

Tight lane = close eyes, push accelerator because the sides close in tighter, hope for the best, open eyes….hahahahaha, kidding of course. It was a beast though, plenty of compartmentation with it being a walk-in but no seating area in back that I saw.
