02/02/08 58 W, 1 I - + 9 - 11 This Evening's Fire

Two alarms at 3211 Shoreview Road. Two-and-a-half story, wood-frame apartments with 13,358 square-feet. Alarm time just after 6:00 p.m. Engine 18 first on scene. Battalion 4 initial command. WRAL reports at least 10 units damaged. NBC17 reports four firefighters were briefly trapped, but escaped unharmed. Listen to the radio traffic. Photos from Lee forthcoming:

From listening to the radio, it sounded like it took 2-3 mins from the time the MayDay was called till the RIT had the crew from E-16 out of the apt. Good job. Does anyone have any details of what happened?

Which Archived entry is it exactly? From the time the Mayday was called? I looked for it, but there were just so many entries….

Start listening to the following. I believe the MAYDAY came in in the second or third file. I listened to at least these 5 until I heard “everyone’s accounted for” BTW, for those on a Mac, RealPlayer seems to work best.
