04/28/09 78 W, 2 I - + 20 - 14 Three-Hundred Foot Aerial Platform

Found on another discussion board, check out the brochure for this 300-foot aerial platform from Germany, used for construction and maintenance work. Mounted on a five-axle, all-terrain crane chassis, the heavy-duty basket can carry up to 1,322 pounds. Wonder if a version's already been adapted for fire and rescue? The company is called Felbermayr, and they specialize in special and heavy transportation on road, rail, and water. Their magazine, Informer, is pretty interesting, too!

Bronto Skylift already has a taller device for fire applications, as they put it. The HLA (High Level Articulated) vehicle is available in heights of 69 meters to 104 meters. That’s 226 feet to 341 feet capable of reaching the 33 floor. Website address is http://www.bronto.fi/sivu.aspx?taso=1&id...

Ah yes, of course. I wonder if Bronto built the aerial device of the above vehicle!?
