07/30/09 96 W, 1 I - + 12 - 17 History of Forest Fire Prevention Outdoor Advertising

Here's an interesting flier recently received from M.T. Publishing, the company that produced the recently released Raleigh Fire Department yearbook. This one is a full-color pictorial history of forest fire prevention outdoor advertising. The author is Harry McClellan, a 32-year veteran of the USDA Forest Service. The flier, which is soliciting advance orders, indicates that the hardcover book will contain over 200 pages, with "over 600 full-color photographs, posters, announcements, brochures, etc." Neat concept that should translate to a neat book.
