12/12/09 80 W, 2 I - + 9 - 7 Fayetteville Station 3

From the August 1956 issue of Hose & Nozzle magazine comes this photo of Fayetteville Station 3 at 1314 Hillsboro Street. It opened in 1948 with an engine company operating a 1923 American LaFrance engine. In the 1970s, a medical unit was added. In 1975, the station was relocated to 3225 Rosehill Road. The 2,483 square-foot structure was photographed a couple years ago, and was used as a storage facility for the city parks department. Learn more about old firehouses in Fayetteville.
