06/02/12 65 W, 1 I - + 7 - 4 Aftermath of Extended Extrication

Overturned tractor-trailer truck in Johnston County, on ramp from westbound Highway 70 Bypass to southbound Interstate 40. Driver extricated after just under two hours. Garner Fire Department (E1, E4, R1, BC), Cleveland FD (E2, E5, T1, Chief), 50-210 EMS (ambulance), Johnston EMS (car), Wake EMS (EMS 19,  D1, M93, MD1). Plus heavy lifting by Ivey's. Since responders came from two counties, I’m curious: What radio channel did they use?

Each county used their respective channels, and a patch was established between the two. That’s the common method for cross-county communications.

Wonder how many personal total there from the two counties. Looks like an excellent job by both sides!!
