For your Friday viewing, from Statter911.com, some ladder and entry action in the District of Columbia on Wednesday. With enjoyable comments as always on the original posting from Statter. How often are barred first-floor windows found these parts, by the way?
 
 



They are popping up more and more. A lot of businesses have them, but I’m seeing them showing up on houses now. Luckily more residents aren’t installing them real securely so you can pop them off with a halligan or NY roof hook.

A lot on the south side of Wake county in your shotgun style home neighborhoods and/ or streets in town.

Imperative the outside team of the Ladder Company or Rescue Company remove them. Insurance will replace the bars on the windows, we didn’t start the fire but while we are here we need to establish egree routes for our members.

Side note; I guess we are looking at side Charlie, a fireman ended up performing a rapid egress from the second floor via ground ladder. So keep throwin’ those ladders!!
