Members of N.C. USAR Task Force #8 were honored by the Raleigh City Council on Tuesday, December 6, for their role in the rescue of two lost hikers in Burke County in November. Good job by our guys! They went from a training class to a real world search and rescue seamlessly. I am thankful to see the Dept. recognizing them for what they did. Keep up the good work!!

No RFD, to my knowledge, does not have any additional decorations.

not today they don’t, BUT there is a committee that has been working on awards and citation bars as you call them. One of the LT. on B shift has been working on that type of project with the Chief. and the word is that one day we will have awards day!
