Mike,
The Victory Base Complex and Forward Operating Base Spin Boldak are reversed as far as the title with the pic

Thanks, fixed.

If any of you New Hope guys are reading, I’d love one of your coins, as I’m a collector of such. If any Cary guy has one of the St. 4 coins (I have it on good info they’re out of ‘em), I’d love one of those, too. Scottie, when do we get the Boldak ones?
Duda - 11/09/10 - 10:43

Sorry, I forgot to include Falls, too! Didn’t mean to leave you out!
Duda - 11/09/10 - 10:44

Duda…..they are being printed now and should ship out by the end of the week. I also just approved the design for our T-Shirts

Great look’in coins y’all. Gotta get some for Stony Hill. SHFD patch on one side… a “likker still” on the other side!
A.C. Rich - 11/13/10 - 17:41

Which means, A.C., they could also be used as Raleigh challenge coins… well, as long as you didn’t turn them over. Ha ha.
Legeros - 11/13/10 - 17:57

Ha! You gotta keep up Mike – the new patch has been out now for about 2 years now! http://www.stonyhillfire.org/media/shfd_.. Oh, BTW our “old” patch was patterned after Burlington FD, NC (the same department that RFD copied when Pickard came to town).
A.C. Rich - 11/13/10 - 18:24

Speaking of, what was the RFD patch prior to the Pickard years?
JH - 11/13/10 - 21:28

To my knowledge, there was no RFD patch. Uniforms consisted of the EMT patch on one side and none on the other. Interesting history for Mike to to confirm.
A.C. Rich - 11/14/10 - 10:58

Yes, no patch was present prior to Pickard.
Legeros - 11/14/10 - 10:59

Just got the new Our Designs catalog in the mail, and they have challenge coins that you can design and buy in bulk for your departments. I had mentioned this as an idea for the RFD 100th Anniversary in 2012. A challenge coin, or maybe even a 100th anniversary patch design.
A.S. Meier - 11/14/10 - 12:14

I’d be interested in one of the St. 4 coins also. I also found some good reading on challenge coins here: http://www.challengecoinsdirect.com
G. Hernandez - 11/14/10 - 22:35

@ A.S.; a 100 year patch is an awesome idea!!
