This monster truck from the Tar Heel Fire Department appeared in today's fallen firefighters parade. This web page says its a 1992 E-One purchased in 2006 from the Goodwill Fire Company in Carlisle, PA. Equipment includes communications equipment, two light towers, and a cascade system. THFD remembers Lt. Ronald Phillip Allen, Jr., who died in the line of duty on September 22, 2006. Click to enlarge:

It was a very interesting rig. There was a nice assortment of trucks at the parade yesterday. Thanks for everybody coming out.

I haven’t been to Tar Heel since the early 90’s for a meeting where they rolled out the Rescue Technician Stds (it was not a pretty scene for the OSFM). I have to assume that have a new station for this machine would have never fit in the facility we met in that night. That’s a hoss.
