10/15/10 49 W, 6 I - + 8 - 3 Still More Beacon

This is what you wanted, this is what you get. Couple closer views of responders, plus the camera gets in close with the spectators. Love some of the fashions. Thanks again Travis. Click to enlarge:

In the 6th pic, I love that the bystander is about to light one up with a fluid (ukn) spill riiight beside him.

#1- Beacon car #6
#2- Beacon car #7
#6- People used ot do that all of the time. Heck, it won’t unusual to see EMS, FD, and LEOs smoking on the scene.

“Love some of the fashion:? From the guy who actually pays money for all of those Hawaiian shirts!

Pic #3- RFD James “Poodle” Williams (walking towards camera). Pic #4- James Williams and Ronald Bunch (kneeling). Both are retired RFD Captains and used to ride Rescue together (well before my time though…). Historical pics are so nice to view Mike. Thanks!

Hey gang, where is this? Can anyone identify the crash location? And BTW Travis, we need more of these historical pictures.

Photo 1 & 2 look like the service location on Hillsborough St. (where Credit Union is now).
This was next to the Boylan Apartments – my apartment looked out over the back parking lot that opened on to Morgan Street (one way into town at that time). They usually had 2-3 of the Suburban and 1-2 of the Pontiac units there. The crews were generally good about not activating the sirens (especially the Q,s) until they were out on Boylan Ave or Hillsborough St.
