In the absence of flames or smoke, there are still many other interesting things to photograph on the fireground. This is a very close view of Engine 11 at a reported apartment fire on Sunbow Falls Lane last night. Working fire assignment dispatched due to multiple callers, including reported flames from one unit and people possibly still inside. Arriving unit found smoke showing, and burning material on a balcony. Quickly extinguished. Most units returned to service. See more photos by Mike Legeros. Was very dark, so external flash was paramount. Resulted in some interesting images, including the sparking water in the second shot. Top photo gets me thinking about macro photography. Wonder what some of this stuff would like like really close?

While looking through the pictures I saw a computer in the back of one of the trucks, why is this? Also is there one up front for the officer?

I believe a monitor sits in the front, while a monitor with keyboard sits in the back (mirror each other). Cramped quarters in the front allow for ease of use by a member in the back with the full keyboard.

There is actually a keyboard in the front and the back. Larger screen in the back though.

Thanks for correcting Chief, couldn’t remember if there was one up front or not!
